Abstract New agents acting between the magnet magnetic -FC mineral ore pyrite mineral surface can vary greatly. Pyrrhotite is activated, which facilitates the separation of pyrrhotite from iron ore.
Key words new agent-FC iron ore flotation magnetic separation
At present, there are a large number of magnetite mines in China, which cannot be used due to their high sulfur content. Looking for new sulfur removal agents, it is important to reduce the harmful impurities in magnetite ore to below 0.15%. The magnetite of a certain place is magnetically selected to obtain 67.25% of iron concentrate and 2% of sulfur. In order to reduce the sulfur grade in the iron concentrate, the flotation method was selected, and the new sulfur-removing agent-FC activated pyrrhotite was added to separate it from the magnetite. Finally, the magnetite grade was 68.14%, and the sulfur content was 0.097%, which reached the special quality iron concentrate.
1 ore type and mineral composition
The type of ore in this deposit is relatively simple and is a medium sulfide dolomite iron ore. The iron minerals in the ore are mainly magnetite, followed by siderite, a small amount of hematite, and the secondary oxide is limonite; the sulfide is mainly pyrrhotite, followed by a small amount of pyrite and nickel yellow iron. Mines, other gangue minerals are dominated by dolomite, followed by quartz , calcite and biotite ; altered minerals are chlorite fossils.
2 dressing test
According to the nature of the ore, grinding 85%-200 mesh, using a coarse and a fine magnetic separation process, obtaining 67.25% iron concentrate, sulfur content 2%, iron concentrate recovery rate 98.38%. The magnetic separation test procedure is shown in Figure 1, and the test results are listed in Table 1.

After the magnetic separation, the iron concentrate contains sulfur exceeding the standard. To solve this problem, we were investigated carbonate, sodium sulfide, copper sulfate, several new agents -FC activators, by testing only the addition of new agents -FC, down to 0.097% sulfur, sulfur-containing iron ore reached the super Standard. The test procedure is shown in Figure 2, and the test results are listed in Table 2.

3 conclusions
(1) New agent-FC is a highly efficient pyrrhotite flotation agent, which promotes the effective separation of magnetite and pyrrhotite in the desulfurization and flotation of an iron concentrate.
(2) New pharmaceuticals - FC has a wide range of sources, low prices, and has the value of promotion and application.
