What is the material of the loader shovel?

The actual working conditions of the shovel teeth are very bad, which not only suffer from wear but also bear a certain impact load when contacting materials. According to the working conditions and performance requirements of the shovel tooth, a group of optimal composition ratio and optimal heat treatment process were found through heat treatment of experimental steel with different components and related testing and theoretical analysis. The shovel-tooth parts produced by using the experimental steel have good comprehensive mechanical properties, that is, the tip part has good wear resistance and toughness, and the shank part has high toughness and wear resistance. The results show that with the increase of carbon content, the hardness of the steel increases gradually, while the impact toughness decreases obviously. The hardness and impact toughness increased firstly and then decreased with the increase of manganese content. The optimum chemical composition ratio (wt%) of experimental steel is C:0.44, Si:1.8, Mn:1.5, Cr:1.0. The mechanical properties, microstructure and phase composition of the material were analyzed by means of mechanical properties test, metallographic microscope, scanning electron microscope, energy dispersive spectrometer and transmission electron microscope. The optimal heat treatment process of the experimental steel was determined, that is, the hardness of the experimental steel can reach HRC30~HRC38 after being normalized at 900℃. Impact toughness value AK ≥80J/cm2; After tempering at 900℃×1h+290℃×30min+200℃×2h, the hardness value can reach HRC48~HRC54, and the impact toughness value can reach 45~70J/cm2. Wear experiments were carried out to simulate the actual working conditions, and the wear amount of the material was obviously lower than that of the existing shovel material in the factory. After heat treatment, hardness changes from tooth tip to tooth shank show a good transition, which ensures the optimization of mechanical properties of tooth tip and tooth shank. The hardness of tooth tip is HRC48~HRC54, the hardness of middle tooth is HRC40~HRC45, and the hardness of tooth shank is HRC30~HRC38. The installation test of the shovel has achieved good results in the actual production of the mine, and the service life of the shovel is 40% ~ 60% longer than that of the original one.
